Things that happened.

Lately, we've been a bit lax, but there's been a whirlwind of events beyond our influence. So, here's a rundown of recent occurrences.

YE is on his BS again.

The artist formerly known as Ye has declared himself as GOD and is set to launch an adult-oriented project. This announcement aligns with the Chicago rapper's recent trend of questioning his allegiance to Christ. As per the Christian Post, in a now-deleted interview with Big Boy, he confessed his struggles with Jesus and expressed a desire to take control of his own destiny. During the extensive hour-long interview, Kanye discussed his reservations about Jesus, citing personal experiences where he felt his prayers were unanswered. He emphasized his inclination towards autonomy, stating, "I had to take matters into my own hands—my experiences in this world, with my children, with others, with my finances, my brand, and my music." While Kanye has always been known for his daring and unpredictable decisions, his latest move could be his most controversial yet.

HOLD UP! TUPAC ESTATE IS SUING THE 6 GOD (DRAKE)

The estate of Tupac Shakur has issued a legal threat against Drake, the Canadian rapper, for using what appears to be artificial intelligence to imitate the voice of the late rapper on a diss track. Drake shared the track, "Taylor Made Freestyle," on his Instagram account on Friday, targeting rapper Kendrick Lamar with its lyrics amid their ongoing public feud. The song also features what seems like an AI-generated voice imitating rapper Snoop Dogg, along with verses from Drake himself.

In the track, a fabricated Shakur can be heard taunting Lamar with the line, "You asked for the smoke, now it seems you're too busy for the smoke."

According to a report by Billboard on Wednesday, Shakur's estate has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, demanding the removal of the freestyle from social media within 24 hours, threatening legal action if not complied with.

Howard King, the attorney representing the estate, wrote in the letter, "The Estate is deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac’s voice and personality... Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the estate’s legal rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use."

Drake's track came out following the release of rapper Future and producer Metro Boomin’s joint album, "We Don’t Trust You," last month, which includes Lamar on a track titled "Like That."
