The highly anticipated project, their fifth collaboration, has been shrouded in secrecy since its announcement earlier this year. But now, eager fans are getting their first taste of the bloody goodness to come.
Set in the 1930s Jim Crow-era South, "Sinners" is a supernatural thriller based on an original script by Coogler. Filmed in New Orleans earlier this year, the project has been kept under wraps until now. On Monday, the film's title was revealed, along with a chilling poster featuring Jordan in a dual role.
The official description promises a terrifying journey: "Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back."
Coogler, fresh off his success with "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," directed the film and produced it through his Proximity Media banner. The film also boasts a stellar crew, including "Black Panther" collaborators like Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Hannah Beachler, Michael P. Shawver, and Ruth E. Carter. "Sinners" is set to hit theaters on March 7, 2025, from Warner Bros.
