Actor Jonathan Majors will receive the Perseverance Award at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards in Los Angeles on June 21.

According to the event's press release, the award honors individuals who continue to inspire despite facing adversity. Majors has certainly faced significant challenges. He was dropped from numerous film and television roles, brand deals, and his management team following his conviction on two domestic violence charges on December 18, 2023. After an incident with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, he was sentenced in April to a 52-week, in-person domestic violence intervention program.

Despite his conviction, Majors has managed to stay in the public eye. In recent months, the former Marvel star has made several public appearances, including red-carpet events with his girlfriend, Meagan Good. While he has remained mostly silent about his trial and charges, there is significant anticipation for his acceptance speech at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, which is expected to provide a deeper understanding of his mindset and journey.

Majors will be in good company at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards. The event will also honor designer Christian Louboutin with the Innovator Award, Cardi B with the Inspiration Award, and Fat Joe with the Culture Award. Held at the Beverly Hilton, the show will be hosted by Tiffany Haddish and will also present awards to U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett, civil rights and personal injury attorney Ben Crump, and rapper Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca Harris-Dupart.
