In today’s installment of “You Can’t Make This Up,” a Louisville woman claims Kanye West used mind control to make her steal a car—with a kid in the backseat. We’ve seen Kanye’s unpredictable phases over the years, but even his wildest monologues don’t usually involve grand theft auto. According to reports, 28-year-old Ricki Smith, channeling her inner GTA character, attempted to break into several cars before finally succeeding—thanks, she says, to Kanye's telepathic nudge. The mother of the child wasn’t having it, yanking Smith out by the hair and calling the cops. Smith, for her part, claimed her car had broken down, and Kanye “told her” to upgrade. Unfortunately for her, the police didn’t buy it, and she ended up in Vanderburgh County Jail. Meanwhile, Kanye’s now-deleted tweets about “mind control” have left us wondering if we’re all just characters in his latest plot twist.
