Complex Acquires Family Style Festival, Plans Major Expansion

On Thursday, Complex announced its acquisition of the popular food-meets-streetwear festival, Family Style, which will expand into a media platform. Aaron Levant, CEO of Complex, praised Family Style's rise to prominence, stating that the acquisition will elevate the festival to "new heights."

Founded in 2019 by Ben Shenassafar, Bobby Kim of The Hundreds, and Miles Canares, Family Style has become a premier destination for innovative collaborations, featuring partnerships with brands like Off-White, Tommy Hilfiger, Takashi Murakami, Verdy, and more.

Shenassafar expressed his admiration for Complex, emphasizing that their support will help Family Style become the definitive voice for food and culture. Canares echoed this sentiment, highlighting the meaningful impact of the partnership.

Looking ahead, Family Style and Complex will launch a new food-focused vertical and significantly expand the festival in Los Angeles, including a pop-up at ComplexCon 2024 in Las Vegas later this year.
