Last year, the iconic hip-hop group De La Soul re-released its first six albums on digital streaming platforms, a significant achievement for both the group and its dedicated fans. This re-release was a challenging process, requiring the resolution of contractual disputes and sample clearances. However, they succeeded in making their music available digitally through Chrysalis Records. Now, De La Soul is providing an inside look at this journey with their new documentary, titled Chapter 3.

"Chapter 3 chronicles the legendary studio sessions leading up to the 2023 re-release and remastering of De La Soul’s catalog, one of the most celebrated collections in hip-hop history. These sessions marked the first time in nearly three decades that Dave, Maseo, and producer Prince Paul reunited in the studio for a De La Soul project."

De La Soul will release their Chapter 3 documentary on Friday, June 7, through a global live stream on their website and social media pages.
