Target serves as the anchor for this housing initiative, which is set to occupy the site of the 1992 Los Angeles riots following the contentious acquittal of police officers involved in the Rodney King beating.

In addition to providing much-needed affordable housing options for seniors and families, Westbrook's initiative will include the establishment of a SEED school and the introduction of various community-centric businesses, thereby opening up new avenues for job opportunities for residents. The overarching objective is to redefine the narrative surrounding South Central Los Angeles through active engagement and investment in the community.
