The plot follows the Velvet Gang, a sophisticated crew of professional shoplifters led by Corvette (Keke Palmer), who frame their high-stakes thefts as a form of "community service" by reselling designer goods at steep discounts. The story kicks into high gear when they target Christie Smith (Demi Moore), a ruthless fashion mogul who reportedly built her empire on an idea stolen from Corvette.
