Grammy-nominated producer Metro Boomin, known for his collaborations with top artists and currently on tour with Future, was raised by a single mother. In her memory, he launched the “Single Moms Are Superheroes” initiative, which became even more personal after her passing.
In December 2023, he expanded the program to honor his mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne. The "Leslie Joanne Single Moms Are Superheroes" initiative offers $20,000 grants and concert tickets to non-profits supporting single mothers in each city of his 21-city “We Trust You” tour.
"The tour gave me a chance to give back to communities supporting me," Metro Boomin said. "It’s rewarding to see the funds in the right hands."
The program started in Kansas City, St. Paul, and Detroit, and will continue through August and September, reaching cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto.
Metro Boomin, who has a massive social media following, emphasized his responsibility and privilege to help others, acknowledging the impact he can make as a public figure.
